So, some girls called me butch at the gym today.

I was feeling pretty great after my shoulder workout, despite the fact that my iPod died. I walked up the the water fountain and politely waited for two girls, who had just come out of a “get toned for summer” to finish.
They looked me up and down, snickered, and started to laugh (though they tried to cover it). They stepped out of the way and I began to fill up my water bottle, when one of the girls grabbed my attention, mouthed butch, and walked away.

Okay so THIS is what bothers me: the fact that people will make rude comment towards people for no apparent reason. Seriously, is your life so goddamn horrible that you need to blatantly make fun of someone in order to make yourself feel powerful?

You’re not powerful. Anyone who tries to bring another human being down mentally, and physically, is weak. Do you understand what kind of low life you have to be to do that to a person?

It’s sad. I feel sorry for people like that.

I’ve never understood the mentality of people who go out of their way to bring others down. Especially someone minding their own business. The girl in this picture looks great, but even if she DID look “butch” so fucking what? Why do those bitches feel the need to call it out? She did nothing to them that would prompt them to try to hurt her feelings.

I especially hate that this happened at the gym (not that any other setting would make it acceptable). We are all in the gym to improve ourselves. Not belittle each other. If you’re at the gym and you have time and energy to attack someone else… you’re gymming wrong.

Actually… if you try to make someone feel bad about themselves for any reason, you’re being a person wrong.
